Health Associates Federal Credit Union is committed to making available financial products and services that will enable its members to meet their financial needs and reach their financial goals. Protecting personal information and using it in a manner consistent with member expectations is a high priority for everyone associated with Health Associates Federal Credit Union. Members of Health Associates Federal Credit Union also have a responsibility to safeguard their financial information. The words "You" and "your" are defined as "member". The words "we", "us" and "our" are defined as Health Associates Federal Credit Union.

To ensure your personal information is protected and kept private Health Associates Federal Credit Union will:

 

• Collect only the personal information that is necessary to conduct our business. That means just the information necessary to provide competitive financial products and services - no more.
• Protect your personal information. Health Associates Federal Credit Union will maintain strong security controls to ensure that your information in our files and computers are protected. Where appropriate, we will use security-coding techniques to protect against unauthorized access to personal records, ensuring accuracy and integrity of communications and transactions, and protect member confidentiality.
  You will always have access to your information. As a member of Health Associates Federal Credit Union, you will always have the opportunity to review your information and make necessary changes to ensure that our records are complete and accurate.
• Only share information when absolutely necessary. We will only share information to administer the products and services we provide, when required to do so by the government, or when we partner with other business to offer a broader array of products and services.
• Partner only with businesses that follow strict confidentiality requirements. The businesses we select will offer products designed to enhance our members' economic well-being. Under no circumstances will we authorize these firms to charge your account without your express consent, and we will not sell member information to telemarketing firms.
• Offer you a choice in how your information is used. Any member may elect to keep their information from being shared with our business partners. You may notify Health Associates Federal Credit Union by phone, mail or e-mail to exercise your choice, and we will take all reasonable steps to make sure your requests are followed. At least once a year we will remind all members of their right to choose. A privacy brochure which includes the credit union's privacy practices including their rights as a member of Health Associates Federal Credit Union and an Opt-Out form will be mailed to members annually either by the 1st or 2nd quarter.

 

The policy of Health Associates Federal Credit Union is to protect all member information. Privacy, security and confidentiality are of primary importance and we are highly sensitive to the privacy concerns of our Members and committed to the security of their information.

 

Health Associates Federal Credit Union does not sell any information relating to members. Data collected by Health Associates Federal Credit Union through member surveys is to help make product and service decisions and is kept confidential.

 

The credit union will meet and where possible, exceed financial industry standards as well as all federal, state, and local regulations relating to information privacy. This policy pertains to all credit union business, including electronic transactions.

 

Training:
All employees, Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee will be given a training course of the Privacy policy and procedures on an annual basis.
