IRA Certificate Rates

(Effective January 1, 2010)

Health Associates Federal Credit Union offers distinct IRAs that are customized to meet your specific retirement needs. Below is a description of all IRA products that Health Associates Federal Credit Union offers.

Choose the IRA that meets your needs. And in times where protecting your hard-earned money for your retirement is priority, you can rest-assured that your funds will be protected by NCUA up to $250,000.00!

Traditional IRA - Choose a traditional IRA if you want the tax-deduction right now. It also makes sense if you anticipate paying taxes at a significantly lower rate in retirement. Open a new Traditional IRA or transfer your existing IRA from another financial institution. Do you have a 401(k) plan from a previous employer? You can transfer that qualified plan directly into a Traditional IRA.

Roth IRA - Choose a Roth IRA if you don't need the tax-break right now. It's a more flexible investment because:

  • You can withdraw regular contributions at any time, tax-free and penalty-free.
  • You do not have to take mandatory distributions at age 70 ½.
